When queried with the supplier he advised there was no remote and if there was one it would have appeared in the picture of the product. Most of your suppliers are honest enough to state if there is no remote and then I knew to ignore them, but to assume there is no remote because it was not mentioned I find wholly unacceptable.     Functions good set up difficult.

    Works well as screen mirroring good quality pictures and net flicks runs well. I had great difficulty trying to set it up entering correct Apple ID and password. Eventually got help from techno savvy person and you need to turn off all Apple devices except one and when the notifications flashes up on the screen press “Allow“ and record the six digit code. This has to be entered after your second attempt to enter ID in the same window as your password continuous with it. The remote and on screen keypad make this difficult procedure especially for elderly ones. However want set up it is very useful and the Ramult is adequate for normal use and light to handle.

    Jailbroken apple tv

    This particular apple tv 2 was jailbroken, and it took quite a long time to set it up correctly. It wouldn't mirror my mac until I figured out what the problem was. Once I had completely restored it to factory settings, it worked fine.

    iCloud log in very difficult

    After a lot of research, I realised that due to 2 factor authentication the 6 digit code needs to be entered after your password. However, due the 30 second expiration time of the code. I had to type the password and use the generate verification code from password settings on iPhone. Also, I had to log into home sharing before I could log into iCloud. Logging into iCloud first would never work. The remote control is a bit of a pain in the arse when it comes to entering in username / password. I found it easier to to Apple TV app from App Store.

    Love the free film streaming of all the latest releases

    I bought this Apple 2nd generation with the codes cracked, I can stream all the latest movies and television shows as and when I want, all for free with no monthly fees and it will save me a fortune, I have looked for the sky sports which they say you can get but find it quite difficult to find the streams that I want to watch, which is rather annoying but over all it´s great value for money and like most people we all say there´s nothing worthwhile to watch tonight, well there is know I have seen Django, Flight, skyfall and loads of other good films and can recommend all these films, great product would recommend everyone to get one and enjoy.....
