About this product

Product Information

Destineer's WWII Aces challenges virtual pilots to take to the skies in classic aircraft such as the Spitfire, Ju-87 Stuka, Mosquito, He-111, and others. The motion-sensitive Wii remote allows players to perform turns, loops, and rolls with a flick of the wrist, and to directly take aim for point-and-shoot gunning. Players can fly for the Royal Air Force of Great Britain, the Soviet Air Force, or Germany's Luftwaffe. More than 70 missions are available to guide up-and-coming airmen through heroic tours of duty, and success is rewarded with historically accurate medals, advancements in rank, and access to new planes. Multiplayer modes offer both cooperative and competitive missions for two players.

  • Most critical review

Just Okay. I wouldn’t Buy it Again!

I’ve played this game once since I got it and so far it seems just okay. It’s really not that easy to control the airplane, and I’m a captain on a Cessna Citation Excel....! The graphics are pretty good for the time that this game was made. I would not recommend this game if you are looking to get something to have a lot of fun right out of the box. Stick to something that you can use a yoke and rudder peddles with for a more realistic experience!

  • Great game and really cool.

Great game! All of the missions are based from history (good idea) the amount of enemies you face for each mission is realistic (instead of rambo kills 1,000 men by himself) the only thing that I did not care for was that there is no 1st person (in the cocpit) view. and there are some arobatics that you can not perform manually. But other than that it is a realy cool game. Good enough that my ex-AirForce Dad liked it enough that we played it till midnight one time. If you can understand that you can only reproduce so much realizm with a computer and if you like to fly and blow things up then I would recomend this game. If you like to complain about what an experianced game producer did not do that you think you can do better. then don't bother. I give a 4 star just cuz there is a few ...

  • A Very Cool Game

WWII Aces is a very cool game. I bought it beasause I love old WWII aircraft, and wanted to try a flight simulator game to see what it would or might be like to fly them. If your looking for half decent graphics, but not something that looks 100% lifelike, like your really there, you'll like the graphics. The planes choices are very good, but they made a big mistake in not having an American Squadron, and allowing us to fly P-51's, B24's, and maybe some F-4's. You get to choose your country, Russia, Brittian, or Germany. I love to fly the Brittish Spitfire or the German ME-109. Handling of the aircraft is very easy with the Wii standard controller. It will take a little practice, but the plane reacts very realisticly, and in an expeced manner. I highly recommend you set this game up on a ...

  • Great title and picture, it attracted me to the game.

It is a very good game. I bought it for my grandson, and he absolutely loves it. I play it with him and it gives us something we both look forward to doing. The only thing I don't like is when it is set for "easy" it is still pretty hard. I don't think we will ever get to the "hard" mode. Still, it is a great game and very realistic. I would buy it again.
