Quality Historical Drama BBC Production
Some may argue that this production is overlong at over 200 minutes, but it does a fine job of telling the story of the Gunpowder plot and the dramatic and bloody times of the period. Another must-see from the BBC production team. Recommended.

one of the best historic dvds i own
i loved it,i have many dvds on history and even though we all know about the gunpowder plot i have always found out loads more from this dvd and seeing it from the catholics side. and knowing Robert Carlisle is a brilliant actor is what made me want to buy it and i am so glad i did.brilliant film and better than reading books when i have seen it acted out.no other gunpowder plot film would be as good as this one.i loved it,i have many dvds on history and even though we all know about the gunpowder plot i have always found out loads more from this dvd and seeing it from the catholics side. and knowing Robert Carlisle is a brilliant actor is what made me want to buy it and i am so glad i did.brilliant film and better than reading books when i have seen it acted out.no other gunpowder plot film would be as good as this one.
