I thought the actual power saw its self would have been a bit bigger in size , but it does its job . Floor boards no problem. Max thickness of timber would be 4x4 inch any more than that would struggle. Jigsaw is good . Replacement blades a bit over expensive than i thought. But all in all , a two in one tool thats not bad to have in you shed , you can easily do a decking project with ease with the scorpion saw .

Had one before eventually the pins which hold the blade housing snapped but had had good useage from it.The blade release mechanism does become a wobbly with use. Even with these quirks it remains the best DYe hand saw I know

Light and portable and cuts through dry wood with ease. Blades are easy to change and its ideal for what I purchased it for; rough cutting of old garden fencing and overgrowth.

I've had one of these B&D Scorpions for many years until it gave up the ghost last autumn. It had served well, mainly in the garden: cutting away dead wood, shaping bushes, even cutting down trees. And the latter was the first task for the new tool - cutting down an underperforming 40-year-old apple tree and rendering it suitable for the garden-waste bin. It would not have been possible to do it with a manual saw - beyond my physical powers (I'm in my 80's). The safety features are well thought out and the mechanism is tough and foolproof. Like all mechanical tools, care is needed (just as it cuts off branches, it could cut off a hand) but only to a modest extent.

Had a very old one (15 years plus) of these and a DIY shed own brand one. The B and D version had a much smoother action and when the old one died I used the own brand one for about 15 minutes and then decided to buy another B and D as my fingers had started tingling.

The product itself is effective, but it is not long before the blade works loose within its housing, making it very difficult to start the cut. There is not other product that I can find on the market, regardless of prices, that will cut through thick timber, like fence posts, skirting boards etc. like this model. All other electric saws have a much thinner blade and struggle to get through the depth.

I bought this for use in the garden to trim thin branches to which I have found it useful, easy to use and lightweight, ideal for laddies. As I have not used the other 2 blades, I cannot comment on their use, but would recommend, using this saw for garden use as much easier than using loppers.

Excellent. Love it. Don’t see what all the fuss is about when you change a blade. It’s very simple!! Getting a lot of jobs done around the house. It’s not too heavy so I can manage most things. I’m a bit of a gadget fiend lol. My partner doesn’t get a look in!! I leave him to do the boring jobs like painting and grouting!!

When you buy a small power saw you have to temper your expectations so I was pleasantly surprised when I got the Scorpion to cut up some logs and branches. It did all that I asked if it over the course of several hours to cut some pretty thick pieces. It’s easy to assemble and use, even if the instructions are pants.

ALL electrical items in the UK with exposed metal parts should be fitted with an earthed 3 pin plug. Specially Power Tools where the cable could be damaged This item (I purchased from the well known high street retailer Argos) does not. It has a 2 pin plug (common in the USA and across Europe) and has a 3 pin adapter / converter this item is really not suitable for safe use in the UK since it has no earth lead. This means IF there was an electrical problem the exposed metal parts could carry a live electric current. I don't know if all these are fitted with a 2 pin plug as standard, I suspect those fitted with a 2 pin plug were made for sale across Europe, but have somehow found there way into stores across the UK
