      Smart and simple

      Programmable thermostats have been around for many years but so many people never took advantage of them due to frustration setting up schedules at the thermostat. The "c-wire" or lack of one deterred some people from upgrading to a easier to use smart thermostat. The Sensi addresses both of those issues and makes setup and install a breeze. I love the ability to have so many programming schedules throughout the day unlike older programmable thermostats which limited you as to how many adjustments you could schedule it to automatically make each day. This thermostat is fantastic when you have different work schedules and sleep times for multiple people in your household. The geofencing is a great feature, smart alerts which notify you of extreme changes and the ability to check and set ...

      Good, but not great.

      My main concern is that no historical temperature or settings data is available, so one cannot learn the history of the device use over time. This is a major flaw in my opinion. By comparison, BayWeb thermostats log a huge amount of data, and plot it for you upon request. Much better would be a user interface that allowed you to monitor outside temperature, inside temperature, heat demand use, amount of sunshine daily, humidity values, etc. This could all be done easily and inexpensively in the cloud, and it should be! It is not like Sensi doesn't collect all that data anyway!

      Great Wifi Thermostat and Easy to use.

      Great product so easy to install. I did have to run an external 24vac transformer as i have an old 2 wire heat only thermostat. ( You can purchase one online from amazon). it was an easy install just about 10-15 minutes to take off the old reconnect wires, remount. The set up was easy as well with the downloading of an app ( that walks you through the installation) it also walks you through the wifi set up. Now Just add it to Google Home and you can just tell google to set thermostat for what ever temp you would like. Setting up scheduled times for different heat settings for when you're aware is also very simple.

      Good Stat

      It’s very easy to install, an 7th grader could do it. It has what I need, some others want the learning type, not me. I would have given it 5 stars if you could adjust the set point for low temps. It has a hard set point of notification @ 45 degrees. I live in MN, I need to know sooner if an issue arises. For you southerners, a house in MN, in Jan or Feb could freeze all pipes to bursting in 24 hours if cold enough outside.

      Value and Performance

      This is my second Sensi ST55. Now have one in each of our two houses. Love the way I can access the temp and humidity via the internet and I get automatic alerts by email if the temp or humidity fall out of the range I've set them at. As far as value, this unit is all I need. Control it with my smart phone from across the country or around the world, and at 1/2 the cost of competing thermostats. I love it!
