Low charge to charge
Still not sure about this, it does work OK but has issues! I had a Camlink 1hr charger before which after 5 or so years of good service burnt out so I bought this to replace it. The main issue I have is that a lot (around 50 percent) of the batteries that I charged with my previous charger do not work with this charger, it tells me they are faulty and it will not charge them! - Do I dispose of half my batteries on the say so of a relatively inexpensive charger or look for a different charger? The batteries it did charge up work absolutely fine but I have gone from having 20 AA batteries to only 12 that I can charge. In hindsight having now tried and seen how this functions I would not have bought this charger, perhaps 8 of my 20 AA batteries are not perfect but there is always a chance ... Ok, it charges batteries. It is small, compact, looks nice, has an lcd display and processor to pick up faulty batteries etc. But no chances to get your batteries charged in 1 hour as stated. I would say charging time is average. Officially it will charge some batteries in an hour but only a single battery at a time. Unfortunately my test gave me almost twice as much time on a single AAA 900mah (also from Lloytron). For me average type of charger, not sure if worth the money.Ok, it charges batteries. fast charging and product works
My feedback will be a mixed bag as there is one important negative I have for this product; the LED battery status indicator incorrectly presents an error reading sometimes. I say incorrectly because one time, an error message is presented for a particular battery which stops the battery charger from charging the so called "faulty" battery and a second time (like an hour later), it gives an expected display message and allows for the battery to charge using the battery charger. Besides this complaint, the product looks fine, it definitely works i.e. charges batteries fine when no error is displayed, and it does fast charging as mentioned in the ad.My feedback will be a mixed bag as there is one important negative I have for this product; the LED battery status indicator incorrectly presents an error reading sometimes. Good reliable battery charger..
Quality branded item that works very well for all my aa and aaa nickel metal hydride bateries.No need for separate power supply as comes with a UK plug for 240v ac . Gets very warm but something i expect from a 'fast charger'.Although not as fast as specified still alot faster than any other i have. Can charge a single battery up to four at any one time. When all fully charge the backlight on the led display goes out and the caharger ceases to charge in order to prevent over charging. The display clearly shows each battery condition . The charger comes with an easy to read instruction manual in a good size type. Excellent charger
I now have two of these chargers as their that good, people complain it's not an hour charger, but it states very basic mah battery's, so a 1100 AAA is going to take longer than an hour compared to a 750mah What I like is you can see it visually charge batts at different discharge rates, so one maybe more drained than another, so some finish while it focuses on others which still need charging, then once all four are finished the LCD panel turns off. Another thing I like is you can charge just one or three battery's too, which comes in handy as many devices use just three battery's, and I have a more expensive Duracell charger which only charges two or four batts at a time only, which makes it almost usless in today's world, plus this charger comes in a proper cardboard box, not a plastic ... I've had many chargers over the years, and I could afford a more expensive unit had I wished, but this does a perfect job, so spending more on one with a fancy LED display, your just paying for bells and whistles, it charges battery's, end of, I don't need something that looks like a StarWars prop to tell me the jobs done. This is a real bargin, and I may have to buy a third as I use many battery's, plus the chargers maker do some dam fine batteries too, I'd recommend this without a doubt, but remember some batts have different chemistries resulting in various charging times, so like any fast charger use the hour charge feature as just a rough bench mark, the main thing is it controls each battery singularly, and when one batt is charged you can remove it and use the slot to place another, while the others are still charging without any change to the other battery's, this is a real bargin, if you want a device to do as it says without pointless fancy LCD displays, this is for you, it's own display is all you need to check on the status; and you honestly need no more!
