My ring is very easy to install and if you have a mains-powered bell at present you can use those wires to power your Ring. We bought the Chime as well so you can have if you want, the doorbell chiming, your old doorbell chiming, and your Chime chiming. You can turn off your doorbell if you wish. The video recordings are very sharp and if you want you can answer your doorbell from hundreds of miles away with the audio in/out feature. Poor to no motion detection
