I believe the issue is that the rectangular tip is slightly too large and edges are not rounded (compared to the oem tool in the kit). Unfortunately, my oem tool does not fit due to an oversized alignment collar that doesn't fit into the hoist tool tube (the reason for this purchase) so can't lower tire to verify the issue. I will grind down the collar on the oem to make it fit, and verify issue.
