    Brand New

    I replaced my first generation Nest with this product. Keep in mind after you wire it up. It takes about four hours to charge the rechargeable battery. I would recommend having an expert do the installation.

    The Nest Temperature Sensor (aka Remote Sensor) design is flawed that results in very slow response time. For whatever room you are trying to control, it will result in your HVAC running well past the target temperature (room will get hotter or colder than desired). The only way to fix is to drill a hole in the case near the temperature (right side of the case). Once modified, the response time is improved and the sensor is actually usable. But this of course voids the warranty. Buy used cheap.
