Not strong enough for business use, spare parts too expensive
The flimsy plastic document feed tray lets it down, broken after just a few weeks and a replacement costs nearly as much as a whole new printer. The iPhone app isn’t very good, hp customer service is terrible. Overall though, the printer has served me well for 2 years, good print quality, rarely get paper jams, dependable, reliable, although it’s too flimsy for anything other than home use. Definitely built down to a price, the build quality doesn’t compare to the ruggedly made laserjet work horse machines. For example, the mechanisms that retain the paper stack aligned in the paper feed tray keep slipping from A4 which makes the paper feed in squint and the print output is therefore squint on the page when it comes out. I only bought this printer off eBay because it was cheaper than a new document feed tray, the rest of the printer is no use to me and going to be recycled, that’s the result of hp’s greedy spare part prices, the printer would otherwise have been written off.
