    This was the first time in 21 years that I cancelled an order. Although the seller immediately obliged, the item was unknowingly re-listed by the seller before I got my refund. Thus the order could not be cancelled nor refunded on behalf of the seller or on my part. Thus this resulted in a loophole which neither the seller nor me could resolve. The seller whose communication and assistance was top notch. The situation was resolved by eBay. Very professional seller. Highly recommended indeed.

    Oldie but goodie

    Okay so this was released in 2002. On the positive side it has a high resolution and a slide/ film scan adapter (much better than the modern stand-alone devices that just take a photo of your slide). On the negative side Epson don't support it anymore and the drivers on the software disk that comes with it don't work with the latest Windows versions. All is not lost if you are prepared to pay for a copy of VueScan software (£50 for basic and £99 for professional versions). It has all the latest Windows drivers and software to get the 1660 to produce excellent scans. We are using it to scan hundreds of slides (it does four at a time) and the software saves them in your Windows PC as individual files. Although we already had a 1660 we bought this latest one for spare parts.
