    Rebecca (Daphne De Maurier) British 2004 remake

    I was surprised by how mesmerized I was by this version. I was sceptical due to this being a remake but I was transfixed. Diana Rigg was especially convincing in the role of Mrs Danvers. Diana should have won an Oscar for that role. A great set & many convincing characters. Well worth watching & owning. One You'll want in Your collection to pull out on rainy nights. You should still buy Hitchcock's spellbinding classic original version of Rebecca as well. You'll never beat the classics.

    Noir thriller with great actors

    A classic Hitchcock - atmospheric, noir, actors at the top of their game and the chilling Mrs Danvers. Sticks very closely to the Daphne du Maurier book - which is also excellent with a brooding malevolence throughout.
