Based on the novel by Andrea Newman, BOUQUET OF BARBED WIRE tells the story of an upper class family and their attempts to keep secrets of incest and betrayal. Tom Wharmby's famous 1976 dramatization, starring Frank Finlay, shocked and intrigued the nation with its risque subject matter. This updated version sees Trevor Eve (WAKING THE DEAD) take on the role of Peter Manson, a man with a worryingly obsessive relationship with his teenage daughter Prue (Imogen Poots, 28 WEEKS LATER). This relationship is pushed to a jealous breaking point when Prue marries a conniving, violent older man (Tom Riley, LOST IN AUSTEN).
