Can be a bit fiddly to assemble, initially, but fits together better when loaded up with batteries. Mine was missing one of its small plastic insulator sheets, but it's a minor crib, and a piece cut out of a milk carton will probably make a good substitute

I have not had a chance yet to try the equipment but it looks to do the job it is designed for and would appear to be good value in substituting for an expensive battery no longer made. The instructions enclosed are written in clear language, too.

Be careful to check the polarity of each of the 12 batteries before inserting them, and it will work perfectly. The cost of replacing the batteries is much lower compared to the old PP9, which is no longer made. We've fitted it inside an old Roberts Revival radio. I removed a little of the foam padding at the bottom of the battery compartment to fit the new adapter. (As an aside, it's amusing to rate a battery adapter as 'Positive, Neutral or Negative' 😂).
