I bought this 1906 record knowing it has a sizeable crack (clearly visible in one of the photos) because I welcome a challenge and because I want if possible to preserve it for posterity without its sustaining further damage. (now completed with reasonable success). Fortunately, the seller took immense trouble to dispatch it with AMAZINGLY robust packaging, in spite of there being absolutely no profit in it for him. He is to be congratulated and is a credit to Ebay!
