    3 disc Spectacular

    Having recently seen the cinema release recently on TV, I found myself digging around on the Internet to get some detail on the making of the movie. This 3 disc set has it all, extended run time of almost 4 hours over 2 discs and a fascinating Special Features disc which is incredibly informative. A truly epic film and great back story about making it.

    An excellent dvd.

    This version has the background interviews and makes the whole package something special. I can see why it had so many Oscar nominations. Not all Oscar nominated films are this good. I'm glad I checked out the reviews and selected this particular (longer) version.

    An epic - one of the best films about how the west was won

    A very cinemagraphic-rich film- perhaps one of the best about how the west was won. It is sympathetic to the native indians and you can recognise the beauty and richness of their culture. It contrasts also with the brutality and ignorance on both sides. Its a long film but well worth a look
