    Its the only option

    The Thunderbolt cable produced by Apple is extremely expensive expensive but it is more than just a cable, it has active components built in to enable it to actually work. There are a number of cables that look just like it but only the thunderbolt (with the lightning flash on it) actually gives the incredible fast connection to enable two computers to fully connect and be able to be viewed and used by a fsngle display. This was a good purchase for me as it was the only cable that would do the job I needed,
