      Loved book & the series was a gorgeous adaptation!

      Don’t hesitate to buy this. In the depths of winter or whatever the season an episode has the power to uplift your spirits! Loved this so much had to get the dvd as they have been taking up space on my sky box since the 1st series & I know this is life long attachment !

      Simply Gorgeous

      If you haven't watched this absolutely beautiful masterpiece of British romantic drama you have missed a treat. Set on Corfu it follows the unstoppable enthusiasm of a pre teen Gerry Durrell from the family's UK departure to their inevitable return several years later at the outbreak of World War 11, prompted by Italy's invasion of Albania. It is deliciously acted by the utterly sexy Keeley Hawes with full supporting cast not forgetting the smouldering Spiros. Far too much to encapsulate here, just buy it, you will not be disappointed but save a hanky for the final chapter.
