      New use on GP 5000 tires

      Only 2 rides of 40 mile each so far. 1st ride they felt heavy, and more friction than others. Seemed more energy expended for similar ride on previous tires. A little disappointed. 2nd ride was totally different. The ride was smooth, no rolling resistance noted and a solid feel. Why the difference?? I'm happy. The ride seems a little stiffer, but that's what I like, a more solid feel and ride.. I have a lot of confidence that these are going to give good performance in the future.

      Continental Gp 5000

      I was using continental gatorskin for over 500 miles and it is one of the best tires available and then i switch to conti gp 5000. And i could tell the difference right away. 1st the weight is noticeable, then the rolling resistance and the tire grip on the road is better. I only 30 miles put in so far but in my personal opinion, this tire is definetely one the best training tires anyone could find or just on everyday ride. Still not the lightest but good enough. I will keep riding so could give more in depth review on this tire. But for now.. i will give this a go for anyone who is looking for a set of everyday tire.

      Competent 4000s replacement tire

      The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't think it is much if any better than the 4000s it replaces. If anything it may be a little more comfortable to ride but the durability has not been any better at all and the grip seems to be the same. I love the tire like the 4000s but not at the $70 usual asking price, glad I found them here for less.

      Great tire from a company that’s made great tires a long time!

      I bought this to replace a pair of Vittoria Open Corsa, which are a very good racing tire. The Continental GP-5000s ride very well, coast like a marble down a rain pipe( that’s good, btw), and after getting caught in a thunderstorm deluge, I can state that I had no problems with traction, when wet. Will need longer to evaluate longevity, but if they are similar to the previous GP-4000s, they should do very well. Very happy so far!
