    Solid mid-range phone at a good price

    This is a solid upgrade from the Galaxy A8 (2018) that preceded it. Pros: Android 10 with large clear screen and good battery life. Cons: Samsung's decision to limit security updates to quarterly for their mid-range devices, such as this. Security can't be compromised based on price point. Also, the SIM tray is a mid flumsy and care needs to be taken when sliding it back in as the sim card(s) and memory card can get misaligned and stick easily.

    From the Edge 7 to the A51 a small step for me.

    It looks good, the face recognition works the phone works as a phone but the camera is dissapointing, it doesnt focus as well as I expected and it sometimes doesnt take a photo or it takes a video instead. The Samsung switch whereby you swap all your stuff over from your old phone doesnt actually swap everything. I got my phone contacts but not all my apps or passwords . It came with a rear safety cover and I think it has a clear cover on the glass but some dust is under the cover which I dont want to move incase I cant get it back on. It also didnt link to my car so I had to pair it up despite it using the same number as my old phone. Still the price was good and it did come with an EU to GB charge adapter.

    Samsung A51

    I have no idea why this phone has been given bad reviews. I had an A40 and the A51 is just as light. Has bigger screen and a few small upgrades. Battery is good. Can buy higher capacity but you have to accept how much heavier the phones are if that's your choice. Has better camera than the A40 so all in all I'm very happy. Those who slate the phone I expect are those who want features costing nearly £1000 for £200.
