    Hachi - a dog's tale

    This is a super film that touches the heart. It is a story of such commitment and undying love when a music professor is picked out by a very intelligent Japanese dog called Hachi. The relationship they form and the bond that is evident throughout their lives together is amazing. THe intelligence of the dog is unquestionable. It will move you to tears because the dog demonstrates absolute commitment to the professor. The only really sad thing is that his family do not appear to share the professor's love and friendship. A very moving film that cannot fail to impart a huge impact on those that watch it. And it is a true story.

    Based on a true story, but Americanised for entertainment (true story took place in Japan).Ideal for any age. Not a difficult film to watch, no plot twists etc. In fact no plot at all. Its a weepy, if you don't cry at this film then theer is definitely something wrong with you.

    Still tearjerking

    My son watched this with us a few years ago and he loved it so much that I got it for him for Christmas last year. It is so sad and touching as it is based on a true story. As an animal lover it is a sure thing for an enjoyable evening but get the tissues out!

    One of the best films I've ever seen!

    Quite a few people have recommended this film to me so I bought it to see what all the fuss was about. I absolutely loved every second of this film and didn't take my eyes off it once. It really captures the unbreakable bond between a human and his best friend. This film had me in tears from start to finish and I also have an akita so when the film ended it made me love her even more and couldn't stop cuddling her because she's got so many traits that Hachi has! Beautiful heart warming story!

    Beautiful and very moving film.

    It’s a truly beautiful film and very moving. I was crying at the end which was a huge healing for me because as a child and teen I repressed my emotion’s. Well worth getting it - top marks.
