The story centres on Tonto's recollection of the adventures that found lawman John Reid transformed into The Lone Ranger, legendary hero of the Old West. Left for dead by the very man he was tracking, lawyer John Reid, with the help of a renegade Comanche named Tonto, vows to track down and capture criminal Butch Cavendish but soon realise that Cavendish is only a small part of a greater injustice the pair must now face.
