The Dept. 56 Ale Mates figures arrived in great condition. They were safely packed and arrived as scheduled. The packaging and figures are exactly as they appeared in the photographs provided on eBay. They are great value compared to similar items posted on eBay and other sites. I will be shopping with Chands215 for additional items in the future.

I was honestly skeptical about buying this because the price was so great, but it came in perfectly brand new sealed condition, and better packaged than most items I buy from much "bigger" sellers. Shipping was quick and actually arrived 2 days early! I highly recommend this seller, and thermostat is awesome so far. Thank you! I hope to be back to buy from you in the future.

  • Mrs. Gale, we're needed.

The Avengers (pre Peel), was a very different series, in both tone and production values. Shot in kinescope (and mostly on small sound stages), the shows had an almost claustrophobic feel to them. The relationship between Steed and Cathy Gale could almost be described as 'prickly' at times. While she was all for helping her country against enemies foreign and domestic, the manner in which Steed went about it often disturbed her to know end. Quite different from his later (and much warmer) teamwork with Mrs. Peel, or Tara King. Guns were also much more tools of the trade, in those days. Due I suspect, to the more serious nature of the stories. Crimes against the state that didn't involve Birdmen, shrinking machines or man eating plants from outer space. All in all, a great series. And I'm ...

  • Fills in The Avengers History

If you are someone who only is familiar with the Avengers episodes that were broadcast in the States, these older episodes inform how the series evolved over the years. They have a more serious tone than the later episodes and the production values are much lower due to the budgets in Britain in those days. Further, in a few episodes the sound is muffiled to the point the actors are difficult to understand. But, all things considered, the older episodes are very much worth owning if you are a true Avengers fan.
