    Ditch the electric airer - This Is Better Than We Thought

    EBAC 2650e We wanted an airer for drying clothes indoors, perhaps one of those £40 electric ones from Aldi/Lidl that some “Internet Influencers” seem to think are worthwhile. Mrs M thought this was a great idea, and I was going along with this thought until I thought about it. Drying clothes indoors means that you are making the atmosphere damp, and hence increasing the potential for mould in the house, which is already a small issue here. The drying process of clothes means that you are reducing the level of moisture in them, and so, thinking long term, I started to research EBAC De-Humidifiers. Having purchased the E2650e, we are amazed at how much latent moisture there is in the house, and best of all, by placing a standard clothes airer in close proximity to the 2650e, it ...

    Very effective

    Before I invested in an Ebac my house smelled like a damp old church. This is my third Ebac. I have had other makes in between but these always last longer- sadly all dehumidifiers have a relatively short life span I’ve found! When they’re new you can have them on and you can’t hear them. Over time they start sounding like a loud fridge they rattle when they automatically turn on and off and I’m sad to say they are too loud to have in your bedroom overnight. They are BRILLIANT at getting rid of moisture and I have 2 in my Victorian mid terrace. One upstairs, outside the bathroom and one in the lounge. I don’t know how much they cost to run but I hate damp and so overall they are value for money. I will only buy Ebac- don’t bother with the other brands- I’ve tried them all. One lasted 1 ...

    Looks good, extracts well, good value, would recommend.

    This is my second unit, the first still working well after 8 yrs. Build quality is good but weight and move ability a little on the high side for the elderly, one handed pick-up is difficult. Suggest castors should be included in the price, a spare filter, recessed handles on both sides and a reduction in fan noise should be achieved. I use both my units with external timers and my initial purchase works ok but the new unit always reverts to smart mode with high fan speed, in my case not quite as successful but a great machine at a sensible price nevertheless.

    Excellent dehumidifier

    I already have one of this model which stays in the conservatory where the dogs sleep. I bought another one for the rest of the bungalow. Although well heated black mould was growing on the walls.......since cavity wall insulation was put in!! It is amazing the amount of liquid it draws out of the air. It is also very quiet. I am very sensitive to noise but this is extremely quiet. I recommend it!

    Ebac dehumidifier

    The dehumidifier is great for drying my laundry, but it could be a bit quieter. It would also be better if you could fit wheels to it, so that it would be easier to move around, and that is why the 4 star rating instead of 5 stars.
