    Anzacs

    It's probably the best drama relating to the First world 1 . i've seen .Not as though there are that many . As war's go it seemed a pointless war It destroyed the best of the youth in most countries for the greed and self interest of the rich and wealthy , Kings and Queens .This should have been the last war of it's kind .Lots of Kings and queens had their last days .Pity The UK didn't Anyway it's a good drama and shows the senselessness of war .The terrible conditions and the general's only plan seemed to be who ever as the most soldiers left wins

    Anzacs - Australian tv series

    Anzacs is a classic Aus tv series from the 80's - which I remember watching during a bout of flu. It has a tight script, written by the likes of James Mitchell (Callen, When the Boat Comes In) and does wonders with a small budget. In many ways it catches the patriotic innocence of the period as Australia forged a new identity in the killing fields of France. My only complaint is that more money should have been spent on cleaning up the digital print - but it is watchable.

    Very authentic film

    Have been looking for a copy of these DVDs for ages (one that plays in England) it wasn't for my husbands birthday as he could remember the series being played on TV and remembered how good it was! Loved every minute and now can watch it again whenever we like! Thank you!
