    Squirrels really are baffled!

    Ours is positioned on the pole under the feeders to prevent the squirrels approaching from the ground. So far it has been very successful. Two slight problems: the squirrel has tried to gnaw through the thick plastic nut on the underside - a metal nut would have been better - but we've solved this by covering the nut with a special deterrent. Another slight, unavoidable, downside is that it does get covered in droppings and needs regular cleaning.

    Check you can take your feeder pole apart to fit baffle first.

    The item is great, fitting it to the Gardman Deluxe Feeder was another matter. The screws had corroded and stuck over time, and the adaptor fitting for the Baffle was not wide enough to slide over the pole from the bottom. End result - I had to take the whole assembly to a retired mechanical engineer for him to use all his tools and 50 years of expertise to disassemble the feeder to fit the baffle.

    A great product to keep squirrels eating our bird food. Very amusing seeing them trying to get up the pole then quickly running down when they realise they can not.

    It works!

    Not only well made but it does the job. No instructions re fixing but simply take the plastic screw apart put one half on lower pole and then the baffle and screw down, Make sure it is at least 5 ft off the ground and well away from trees and shrubs. The squirrels will get very annoyed and scratch their heads trying to find a way to the feeders, but so far are unsuccessful.
