I therefore contacted the seller who was very apologetic and immediately dispatched a replacement which similarly soon arrived, well packaged. The model was as described and looks great - excellent value. Moreover, rather than take the damaged model back, the seller suggested that I try some repair and then offer it to a local charity for selling.
