Misleading picture.
Very disappointed, as despite trying multiple times, all we end up with is a shattered egg. I admit that my wife enjoys a very soft boiled egg and our local farm eggs do not have the strongest of shells. Intend to try holding egg in tea towel, as suggested by another reviewer, so have hope that we may resolve this problem.

Love the clacker!
I love the clacker. It's an elegant device, and an elegant solution to opening an egg. Doesn't work quite as well if the egg has cracked in the boiling water.

Brilliant bit of kit!
This has to be one of the best tenners I've ever spent. In general gives a good clean cut - took a few attemps to get the hang of it. If the top of the egg stays in the gadget just gently pull the handle again and it releases.
