The usual reason for taking Saw Palmetto is to keep the Prostate gland in good order (especially in later life when in most men it starts to do undesirable things ! ). I have been taking S.P. now for many years,as a precautionary step - stopping a condition before it can start always seems sensible - and to date I have had no problems. Obviously I cannot claim outright that this well-being is purely due to the S.P.,but I know from dosage experiments, that it does have an effect on my system, so I am quite happy to assume that the S.P. is at least in part responsible for my good health in this area. I do not seek to influence any one else's decision to employ this approach to well-being, I merely recount my own experience as required by an honest review. For myself,I am very pleased with ... Decent strength and value, but hard to swallow
It's probably just me, but I find these flat tablets, even coated, hard to swallow. No problem with the formula or packaging. But I think I'll be going back to elongated capsules in the future. Two a day a couple of hours before bedtime – ie 1000mg – greatly cuts down on 3.30am trips to have a wee, though if one drinks a half bottle of white wine especially, or a lotta beer or cider for supper, all bets are off.It's probably just me, but I find these flat tablets, even coated, hard to swallow. Used to be good...
I have brought this brand of Palmetto on many occasions and have been really happy with the results but this last batch was awful, it's a different pill completely, previously you could see and taste the Palmetto fruit in the pill but now they are smaller, pure white and I see no benefits from taking them, I will now look for a different brand.

This product seems to work with almost instant effect! I certainly noticed a difference within the first week of use but I am taking it together with max strength zinc, (which is also a Lindens product), so I cannot say for certain if the benefits are from one or the other or a result of the combination. However, I will be continuing to use both products for the foreseeable future. I have a strong family history of prostate cancer through my father and brother so I am keen to employ any products that will enhance my chances of prostate health.This product seems to work with almost instant effect!
