The day i recieved the item, i was woken that night by my cat chasing a big black spider round my bed. Terrified, i used the catcher and spider was moved, unharmed outside. Fab item for me as im terrifed of spider's. Would be even better if the grabber end was on a pivot so could be moved into position to grab from an awkward angle. I would recommend it as its great and does not harm the spider.

One thing though! You have to get used to how wide open you make the catcher, as when we went to catch a spider we opened it too wide and the spider just ran away (several times) We practised until we got it open it at the correct size to catch the beastie - outside it went. To be honest I would not want to see the spider that you could catch when the tool is fully opened - shudder to think........

I've used it a lot and it works really well on spiders and any other fairly slow moving critters! Not so much with flies... I was a little dubious at first, thinking it may harm the insects, but no, they scamper off undamaged. Well done, it's a nice item.
