Who wouldn't want a zombie girlfriend like to like Julie? Return of the living Dead 3 is a good horror flick. Not quite as good as 1 & 2 but I enjoyed it. This one is about a guy trying to protect his undead girlfriend from just about everyone. I especially liked the loving ghoulish ending lol 😀.

This is the last real 'Return' movie and probably the most watchable for those not dedicated to the genre. A somewhat traditional romance story is woven throughout the standard 'zombies-are-trying-to-eat-our-brains' material. Feel free to sit down with your girlfriend and watch this one; she'll appreciate the mushy stuff (boy and girl looking moony eyed at each other) and you'll appreciate the mushy stuff (brains that is, some extreme violence here, I think they may have been trying to top the first two or just make up for the love scenes). Definitely succeeds when compared other 'Part III' films. I would stop watching at this one though and not go through parts 4 or 5.
Return 3 starts off very poorly. Actors are pretending to be in the military in a very cheap looking set. As usual in many low budget horror movies, moronic teenagers decide to break into a top secret military facility for fun.... , and naturally accidentally release whatever the base is trying to contain. I was prepared at that point for the worst and settled myself in for 90 minutes of frustration. Return of the Living Dead 2 was one of the worst sequels I had ever seen, so I really wasn't expecting much from Return 3. But then something happened, and Return 3 got better and better. There was a real story! The director actually tried for some character development! There was suddenly plenty of extremely well done gore! There were some moments of real horror! The scenes where Julie starts cutting and impaling herself were difficult to watch, that's how well done they were. The movie moves from a cheap horror-comedy into a well put together love story with incredibly gory effects. I actually really felt for the main couple, even though she was slowly turning into a zombie! Normally, one of them would get whacked which would give the remaining person a few lame Arnold-type lines, and an excuse to obliterate whatever (or whomever) is supposed to be the bad guy. However, this movie doesn't follow that formulaic path. It takes a very weird turn halfway through and never looks back. When Julie makes her transformed appearance in the sewer, it is truly an awe-inspiring site! They actually managed to make her look both incredibly repulsive and very sexy at the same time. This film reminded me a lot of the Ginger Snaps movies in the type of character development pursued within the confines of a horror movie. Very pleasant surprise.Read full review
Not everyone is crazy about ROTLD 3, but I for one have always loved it. Parts 1 and 2 had a perfect combination of Horror and comedy. In this installment, its more horror than comedy. And strangely its a zombie love story. The main character is very much in love with His girlfriend who is very beautiful and stacked. Then tragically the girlfriend dies and its too much for the boyfriend to handle so He brings Her back to life. But He soon realizes its a huge mistake and so do several others. The last good entry in the series. I havent seen parts 4 or 5 nor do I want to figuring there both made by SyFy. Need I say more?
Love this Horror movie classic, Could not find it anywhere for less than $60! Finally found it, great price, great quality, NOT A BOOTLEG!
