These bulbs in theory look as if they should be good, plugged into the bulb holder on my Yamaha Fazer FZS motorcycle they look a bright cool white light, put the bulb holder back into the light unit and the light all but vanishes, it is as if the red lens on the light unit filters out the cool white and acts as a barrier to it. They actually give I would say less than half the light output of the standard 90 pence incandescent bulb. Now one of the problems is that all thought there are about 15 LEDs on each bulb the LEDs are all around the side of the bulb and none on the end or top of the bulb, no LEDs actually face out towards the light unit lens just a grey plastic end cap. Osram you must try harder, these bulbs are useless they are not an upgrade in any way shape or form, I would say that they are putting a driver at risk while driving at night and certainly in bright daylight the last thing you want is brake lights that put out much less light than the standard cheap bulb. you can buy 7 or 8 standard bulbs for the cost of one of these Osram LED 'upgrade bulbs' that last quote was tongue-in-cheek because upgrade they are not. The only thing in their favour is that the life expectancy of the the bulbs is 3 years, but driving with them yours might not be. Do NOT buy this product. This is my opinion and findings putting this bulb in the rear light unit on a 2003 Yamaha Fazer FZS600 Foxeye.Read full review
