Draper Expert Automatic Centre Punch.
I had wanted a good quality automatic centre punch for a while before l chose this one. I chose this Draper Punch because it appeared to be good value and l have found Draper products in the past to be of consistently good quality. It is quite a chunky punch with a ribbed grip. This aids a comfortable grip and ensures accurate point location. I was pleased that l chose a model with a variable force adjustment as these punches need a firm press to get them to "fire". Being able to increase or decrease force makes the punch suitable for all types of material. I have found this punch to be easy to use, effective, and it appears durable. Draper auto centre punch, Not worth its value in scrap metal!
This auto centre punch only works correctly 20% of the time at best. I was a bit sceptical about buying it in the first place as I don't rate Draper tools, they're the kind of tool brand you would pick up in Asda. This is NOT a tool for professional tradesmen, don't waste your money if you require regular consistent use from an auto centre punch. There are much more expensive brands out there, and you have to balance cost against frequency of usage, but if you require regular, accurate use in a professional setting then you should opt for an expensive but high quality brand of tool. This Draper auto centre punch is NOT worth the value of the metal it's made from. What is more annoying is the way in which the manufacturers have presented the product in their advertisements which gives the ... This auto centre punch only works correctly 20% of the time at best. I hope that this review helps those of you out there who, like me, might have been drawn in by the overstated and completely inaccurate claims by the manufacturer of the quality and reliability of this tool.

Life made easier with a simple but great product.
Great Product, well made and very easy to use. No more centre punch slipping on the work piece when striking with a hammer causing inaccurate results due to not needing a hammer when using this tool, just position, press and the punch marks the work piece with no slipping. If the mark is too small use again or strike dot with a conventional punch and hammer, which will not slip due to being held in position on the work piece by the dot produced by the automatic centre punch. : DGreat Product, well made and very easy to use. Puts the dot where you want
Easy to use and adjust, puts the dot in the spot you want so you can drill accurate holes , have used it a number of times on stainless steel with no detriment to the point.

Only used this twice, on wood not steel, but so far it seems to be a perfectly adequate centre pop. Certainly good value if it holds up as I use it more. A pity one has to write these reviews so soon after purchase.
