Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Forks
Needed a threaded steerer fork to replace same on an early generation MTB. Saw some used ones and thought, "You must be kidding. Who's going to pay that much for a used fork?" This Sunlite Econo fit the budget. Chrome on the fork is acceptable. There's also a black version. Just cut steerer to length, file off burrs, lube threads then install rest of your headset. Not rocket science. To avoid screw-ups, "Measure twice, cut once." Some have reviewed these forks as cheap steel because it's not chromoly. Well, if you plan on doing jumps, this may not be the fork for you. It would be interesting to see some hard stats for hi-ten and chromoly forks. (I use an aluminum rigid fork on my MTB, and I'd trust the hi-ten steel over that.) This Sunlite Econo is for a putzing around bike, some easy single track, no death-drops. It should last many years. If you're on a budget fixer-upper, want value, ride sanely, this should make you and your wallet smile. :)Read full review
