Flexible ignition solution
This is a really flexible solution for a restoration, or just getting an older car running. The coil has a number of different connection configurations that allow you to use the ballast resistor or not to suit your particular ignition needs.

This coil supposedly covers ballasted and non ballasted cars. If you have a non ballasted coil on your system just get a proper 12 volt coil , all this coil does is make you have a ballasted system whether you want it or not , to my mind a ballast looks ugly but unfortunately I have to put up with it now.
