    Helped me out of a dead end

    I'm very happy for this item BECAUSE like with all other VAG parts, VAG does not support their older cars for parts (you can go to BMW and order parts for 50 year old BMWs). I needed a gas cap for an 04 TT quatro 3.2 roadster, and guess what, VAG no longer makes a replacement and neither does anyone else. You can get one for a turbo 4, but not the 3.2 6. So with idiot light on I ordered a new gas cap three times, for the so called dealers to then only check with VAG and find out the part is discontinued and zero stock. This replacement seal which was identical to the original took about 30 seconds to install. So yes, I'M HAPPY.

    Good economical alternative to replacing the entire cap.

    Pros: It fit properly and brought an improvement compared to an old seal (that had cracks). It is less expensive than replacing the entire cap with a new (original) one. Cons: On the inside of the ring, there was some residual material (probably burr left from the injection process), that may affect the quality of the seal at that point of contact.

    Audi VW gas cap seal

    This fuel tank cap rubber seal works as it was advertised. Solid and good quality. Fits perfectly. Takes only 2 minutes to replace it. Besides you don't have to replace your OEM cap. Mine old one cracked from age and was throwing message on dash, to lock gas tank. Changed it and problem was fixed right away.

    Exact match and it works!

    My gas cap seal was currently old and I got the "check engine" light on, I just replaced the seal and didn't need to buy the whole thing, after replacing it the light went off and it is doing fine.
