Non-Branded Quality Kit.
After more than 9 years of waiting, FTTC broadband has recently been provided to the estate on which I live. My ADSL service contract was ending, so I placed an order for a 63Mbps service and whilst awaiting the service to be provided, (14 day notice period), I ordered and installed a premium quality DSL cable from one eBay seller, and this item from Platinum Telecoms. Fitment of this item is very straightforward, including transferring an extension line cable connectors. The supplied IDC punch tool made this very easy. Whilst not up to professional quality, this tool is so much better than the small, thin plastic ones I have used in the past. Once the filtered faceplate is fitted, it totally transforms the visual appearance of the socket, plus, of course, this faceplate is correctly ... Good VDSL faceplate that does it's best to overcome the limitations of Victorian technology.
Proper kit for VDSL connection, better than microfilter dongles which seemingly are really only good for ADSL due to the lower frequency they cover. Since BT put in FTTC in our area, noise on the audible phone line has increased very badly but this faceplate, whilst not 100% removing it has reduced it to about 20% so an 80% improvement. My theory is that VDSL just creates a lot of noise that bleeds into everything close to it. This is probably due to the use of copper cables in the system (it seems most of them aren't even twisted pair, it's Victorian technology!), we really need 100% fibre optics to cure it. Great Product, easy to fit.
After fitting the new ADSL master socket and new CW1308 cable between it and the junction box, my internet speed has doubled, ( it was very poor from the beginning ) only two wires to connect, as I was not running any extension sockets from it. Great purchase, 10 out of 10.

Speed up your internet
After fitting this my download speed went from 27 Mbps to 42 Mbps, a 55% speed increase without paying my ISP for a faster down load speed I used 2 spare cores on my telephone extension wiring connected to the A & B terminals and then fitted a RJ11 outlet box to connect to the router, or if you router is by your master socket then just plug it in the the VDSL port. Very pleased with the results
