    Just one issue

    This is a BIG plastic jug. As such, when filled, it is genuinely heavy. It has a cantilever handle (attached at the top and only supported from one end) and, to be honest, for a jug of this size (and filled weight) this is a dubious handle design. Has the handle failed in use? Not so far. Do I have confidence it won't? Not really. It's a definite 'might be OK but far from sure' situation. Now I understand why it was designed this way. It will make it easier (and therefore cheaper) to mold and manufacture - but honestly, if I'd been involved in the design of this jug I'd have taken one look at that handle and thought 'Hell, that's REALLY borderline'.

    Nice quality jug but the lid might be annoying.

    This is a large, solid jug that looks quite smart and is good quality. The lid is a bit odd in that it isn't hinged but neither does it fit snugly, sitting over the top of the jug rather than inside so you have to remove the lid to pour (though with the right technique it's possible to fill the kettle without removing the lid). It works for us as a water jug for the office.
