Nice decor
Base is fine and looks robust enough to stand up to many years of use but umbrella support tube is of rather thin metal and one wonders whether this is ferrous and will gradually rust from the inside as rain can enter if left outdoors with no umbrella 'plugged in'. (That's what happened to our previous unit). Perhaps a light oil spray internally at the start of use might assure long life. Reassuringly solid and heavy
Only had the chance to use this once so far, but it did the job perfectly. I like the adjustment screw on the side, means it will fit large and small poles securely. It has a good weight, and the wider base makes it very stable. Now all I need is some decent weather to get outside with it!

Just like cast iron
I love this base. It looks like cast iron, is heavy like cast iron and even feels like it. You have to really look hard and tap it to know it's poly resin. We've just had some really strong winds here and it hasn't moved an inch. I would highly recommend, especially at the price. I thought the p&p seemed a bit high but when it arrives you'll realise it's because of the weight. It was left on my doorstep due to covid and I almost feel over trying to lift it because I expected it to be on the light side.I love this base.
