Not for cold butter but good.
So wooden knifes will spread cold butter? Course it won't! It is lovely and it will take nice curls of a cold butter block but no it won't spread. Still I expect that and so should you. It's a lovely shape for buttering bread and would be an excellent addition to a picnic basket. The handle is a little small but my hands are huge and I can use it quite comfortably.

Lovely olive wood butter knife
had one of these for years as a butter knife and it has proved itself to be very durable. as a result have just bought 4 more. olive wood has wonderful colour and markings.

Great little butter knife
Purchased as a gift and both the recipient and myself were pleased with it. It works well and arrives with a little tag stating "Eddingtons" which adds to the authenticity. Washes clean without any effort. Well worth a buy considering the low price.
