      You get a generic replacement using a somewhat different combination of commands compared to original Sony. You get a translation sheet but to use you need further guidance from the seller for some dual key functions. With translation sheet and additional instruction, the unit works. In hindsight, I should have found exact Sony Unit (refurbished), now available but not at time of purchase as the generic can be cumbersome to use(differing key functions , some with dual keys).

      Next to useless

      This is the worst product I have bought on eBay. Firstly it is not a replacement for a SONY remote control RMT-D2580 as it states in the heading, as it does not provide the TV functions that are on the SONY device. Secondly the most commonly used functions on the SONY remote, especially the coloured buttons, are located in the top half and easy to use one handed. The equivalent buttons on the Superior device are at the bottom and nearly impossible to use one handed. Thirdly, unlike the SONY remote, a shift key is used to select numerous functions. This requires two key actions to perform the most common tasks that a DVD provides. Fourthly the shift function stays active for about 6 seconds. Once you have initiated a command that uses the shift, you have to wait until the shift deactivates ...
