Spectacular Movie
Amazing movie with spectacular battle scenes with a cast of thousands. The movie seems to be a restoration as the bluray is excellent. recommended viewing to anyone who loves history, war movies and epics. Tom Berringer, Jeff Daniels, Kevin Conway and Martin Sheen deliver powerful perfomances in this movie spectacle. Although the movie is a little slow to begin, the battle scenes later in the movie and the perfomarances of the actors are unforgettable. I first saw this movie at the cinema and the bluray version does it great justice.Amazing movie with spectacular battle scenes with a cast of thousands. " Gettysburg" sums up The American Civil War"
The extra battle scenes were excellent. the expanded scenes especially the ones involving Robet E Lee being cheered by the Confederate soldiers and George Pickett rousing the men of his division were very moving. Although the extra 17 minutes does make it a long movie the result is a great improvement.
