Decent series, but it is produced sometimes in the 70's, so don't expect it to be action packed exitement like todays series. But still, it has its charms :) This series is more for specially interested than thrill seecking people. The movie SWAT from 2006(?) is based on this series, but of course the movie has a lot higher budget and har therefor more realistic action scenes. The old series is probabaly made in hollywood to, but after viewing it, its pretty obvious that the director had no knowlige of policework and tactical operations. Still, it has it charms if you like old police series. Its not any worse than for example "pacifc blue" or "T.J Hooker" Just keep in mind that tecnology and budget in the 70s didn't get you very far. And it shows in the series... Sorry about the poor ...

  • SWAT First Season

I thought that this was a great collection of a classic TV police show. It is a real joy to see where actors like Robert Urich got their start. Steve Forrest, Mark Shea, and James Coleman were also a joy to watch, and this cast made for a great production. SWAT was a great classic television show that is now brought back to life thanks to this collection. If you like police shows from the 70's be sure to add this one to your collection.

  • Just like when I was a kid! Awesome Videos!

Brought back all the memories as soon as the opening theme started! I loved all the 70's cops shows. SWAT was one of my favorites. My 5 year-old son and I watched them all together. He couldn't wait to watch the next one. Neither could I. I can't wait till then next seaon comes out. God help both of us if it takes years! Anyone who rates this video below excellent has either never experienced 70's TV series or forgot what they were like. They aren't like today's more realistic shows; they are a bit cheesy; but remember, alot's changed in the nearly 40 years since these came out originally, and for the time, these were the best thing going! ENJOY! Mike Vail Windsor, Ca.

  • S.W.A.T. -- The Complete First Season

like alot of others, I watched this show growing up. played SWAT with my friends in the neighborhood... was very disappointed when they took it off the air for being "too violent". seeing it again, yes -- for 1975, it was. but by today's standards, a laugh. very good quality conversion to DVD. excellent as a period piece: the fashions, cars, Vietnam references. superb liner notes. Hoping they release Season 2...
