La Maravillosa è un Country Club, quartiere chiuso e controllato da guardiani e severe misure di sicurezza, con campo da golf e lussuose abitazioni: un microcosmo dove sembra sia obbligatoria la serenità, se non proprio la felicità. Ma la vita del prestigioso club viene sconvolta quando, nella sua lussuosa villa, Pedro Chazarreta viene trovato con la gola tagliata e un coltello in mano. Il presunto suicidio, però, suscita dubbi, e un giornale si ostina a voler approfondire la vicenda.
