Keeping Internal barrel clean could lead to problems. Mine had a grease /oil leak which is confirmed in a separate online lens review.
I returned product as had a oil grease leak inside. (search for lens review. I found one that had same issue) On Canon aperture works and product is well built externally. internally the Barrell moves up and down with focus. I suspect they all leak this grease over time which will attract dust and eventually lead to problems. it is supplied with a filter which is essential to keep on to avoid internal dirt. (Not really a problem as I always add a filter for protection). To use 2 x magnification you need to be within a few cm of subject. and easy to get a lot of image out of focus even at f20. I'm sure Canons 65mm MP-E has same in focus issues. Picture quality is good. and it is a good fit on camera. I returned product as had a oil grease leak inside. (search for lens review.
