Product Information

A fun creative outlet for aspiring artists and musicians, Mario Paint lets youngsters (and the young at heart) color, draw, compose music (from more than a dozen sounds) and produce four-, six- and nine-frame animations. Simple interfacing combined with a variety of colors, icons and backgrounds give the game virtually limitless replay value. The biggest drawback is that you can only save one picture at a time. Also, unlike with similar computer programs, you can't print your work. As a bonus, the cartridge includes a surprisingly enjoyable game of Gnat Attack, which involves using the mouse to maneuver a fly swatter around the screen in order to swat pesky critters.

Console itself arrived perfectly fine and packaged exactly how one would hope, but the controller was completely broken. The entire thing was sticky and buttons activated other buttons or flat out didn't work. As if someone had spilled a drink over it. There was some differences in the items description (it said two controllers were included, but i only saw one in the pictures) but I was able to contact the seller and they confirmed it was only one controller.

    Fun game, needed work

    Game works, at first it didn't, I had to clean out the cartridge. Also, the mouse is dead or very close to dead and I had to buy another, but, game works normally now, so, it's all good. Was kinda upset that I had to pay 20 more dollars for another mouse. And clean the cartridge out..

    Mario paint is a very unique game for the Super NES. It would really interest people who are musically or artistically inclined, or are novices to composing their own music and graphic sketches. This game is played with the Super Nintendo Mouse controller, very similar to a computer mouse. The mouse is somewhat smaller than a regular mouse, yet still comfortable. Mario paint includes 3 main modes:1) Sketch mode, where one could draw paintings and sketches with a variety of options; 2) Composer mode, in which one could compose a piece of music or edit one of the three built-in songs; and 3) flip-animation mode, where one could create a flipbook animation with a variety of options.     Nice item for a collector

    This game is great for the retro gaming enthusiast with kids. I was lucky and got a SNES mouse with my SNES when I purchased it from eBay and knew I needed this game. This game isn’t really a game, it’s more of a Mario themed Microsoft paint for SNES, this game with the mouse would be a good way to entertain kids for at least a few minutes. Not the best game but worth having in a collection as just one of those weird things for the SNES.

    Mario Paint

    This is a pretty good game for the kids, just be sure to get the mouse; otherwise you won't be able to play the game! I thought it was a GAME, but it's not; it works more like the draw and paint program on your computer. Kids can create their own music with various Mario characters and then play it back to hear their creation. My 5 year old and 8 year old loved this one, so I feel it was a pretty good investment!
