    Stylish, high-quality, and addictive series.

    I never watched Downton Abbey when it aired in the USA on PBS. I kept hearing about it, but just never made a point to watch it, nor did I know anyone who was watching it. Then I found the odd disk at a used DVD sale which had a few episodes (mid-series), so I bought it to check out what all the rave reviews were about. I was immediately "sold" on the show upon watching a single episode, and so I sought out the entire series on Ebay for a reasonable price. Be warned: Watching this series from the beginning can become extremely addictive! I got so caught up in the travails of the Crawley family and all of their servants and other characters that I began to think of them as "almost real." I was truly sadden to reach the end of the disks of Season Six. Now I am writing this review to ...
