I dropped 140kg on an Olympic bar and there was no give in the matt, and certainly no chance of damage to the floor. I also accidently spilt water on the matt it just stayed on the surface, no absorption, another sign of quality. They are incredibly easy to wipe down, and look as good as knew afterwards.
