    Works perfect most of the time!

    Ohkay, Any cartridge system is going to have flaws. Original or emulated. And those flaws carry over. The turbo cards work perfectly though, surprisingly. But for an emulated software system: games play at the correct speed. No more 2x speed Sega! No more wtf Nintendo fast slow fast huh?. This works. Even better than base applications alone on a PC or Mac. My only complaint is the cartridge sockets are a bit tight. But that’s an issue in every modern cartridge system. Once you get a cartridge in and seated correctly you could literally use it as a handle for the system. So be careful with your carts. Make sure the contacts are clean. There’s no extra give in the sockets.

    Bad pin connectors

    I bought this product after reading how much better the pin connectors were on this instead of the Retron 5. Well, after putting it through the ringer for a day the Super Famicom/SNES pin connector is shot. The death grip is real, at least on my system. I guess the only way I can put my roms on now is through the computer. Very disappointed.

    Worth the cost and wait!

    I will admit when I got the estimated time of arrival along with the total cost of the product along with shipping I was asking myself, is this really something I want? The answer, if you are a retro gamer or collector is, yes! We have not stopped using it since the first day we opened the box and have bought even more for the collection then ever before. So worth it!

    great little console

    the retro freak is the top dog of x-in-1 retro consoles at this time. The two negatives of this system are: the bundled controller is only ok, secondly you do not have built in controller ports. The ports are on a USB breakout box. Compared to a retron5, this system is superior simply because you can load your cartridges onto the system once and then keep them stored in a safe place. Also, since you are running games via the microSD card you can pull the processor box out of the console and transport a little 6x4x1 block around when you travel.
