About this product

Product Information

The Concise Human Body Bookis an all-in-one guide to the most important possession any of us can own. It combines up-to-the-minute description and illustration of the body's physical structure, chemical workings, and potential problems, with a comprehensive coverage of individual elements and processes. There is no major element of the body's structure or function that isn't explained by easy-to-follow text in everyday language, and complemented by clear graphic illustration, charts, and microscopic imaging. The book not only deals with day-to-day processes, but also looks at the human body from the widest perspective, taking in the workings of DNA and the patterns of genetic inheritance, as well as foetal development, growth, and ageing - how these processes start, and the chemical and physical changes that occur.

Item was delayed due to poor Royal Mail delivery service .However contacted supplier and replacement sent.Original order and replacement arrived one day after the original order arrived. Offered to send replacement back but was given the choice to keep it or donate to a charity shop which I will do. The item was as described, good value, and communication from seller was excellent. No hesitation on recommending this seller.

    Excellent! and great value

My nearly 7 year old is absolutely fascinated with this book - she can’t put it down. It’s not really age appropriate, and she has many questions, which this book does answer!

  • would recommend this book to any student or the inquisitive mind!!!

First saw this book sitting on my friends desk and had to have one myself. Fantastic little coloured anatomy book, easy to understand and straight to the point so it doesn't overload you with too much information. Diagrams are well defined and aid understanding. I used this for my nursing degree to help me with the physiology module but this book would also be excellent for A level and other 3rd level qualifications.Easy to carry as it is compact in size.

  • A handy text.

The book is a handy, compact size. It follows standard A and P textbook form but it has some interesting photos in among the full colour drawings and text. Handy.
